Full Moon in Libra - April 12, 2025

On Saturday, April 12th, 2025 at 5:22 PM PDT/8:22 PM EDT, the moon glows in the harmonizing, peaceful, connecting, and aesthetically pleasing sign of Libra. This Full Moon is connected to the Aries Solar Eclipse we experienced last month on March 29th and it also marks the completion of a longer six-month cycle that began on October 2, 2024 during the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Libra. Events or situations happening now will offer greater clarity about what unfolded back then and we’ll be able to see the blossoming of the seeds we planted months ago.

This year’s passage has felt erratic, reflective, and full of revisions. It’s been hard to create momentum and any movement forward has felt like a laborious trek through mud. Hopefully our trudge through the mud during the retrograde and eclipse cycle has led us to some profound insights, sparked some new interests, or opened us to follow a new direction. The good news is that we are gradually emerging from this phase of recalibration. Mercury is direct, Venus will station direct shortly after this Full Moon, and we’ve moved through the eclipses. The path is starting to solidify requesting that we begin to shake the mud from our boots. Simply put, we will begin to feel the support behind our plans, and this lunation is setting the stage for the beginning of our next chapter, a dawn of renewed purpose.

This Libra Full Moon, a celestial mirror, reflects the dance between autonomy and interdependence, self and other, and independence and connection. Under the influence of Libra’s scales, we are invited to perceive the subtle imbalances within our lives. This lunation illuminates the vital importance of harmonious relationships, equitable exchanges, and the cultivation of inner stillness. Polarities help us understand the balancing point. Consider where you’ve been pushing too hard? Where has your strength become overbearing? Where have you been too soft? Where has your gentleness led you to acquiesce. What saps your energy? What restores it? What’s out of balance? What feels aligned? What are you deeply connected to and where is the connection frayed?
Chiron, the asteroid known as the wounded healer, is making a strong healing presence under this Full Moon. It’s here highlighting our dysfunctional patterns, our deep and profound truths about how we show up in our relationships, and the wounds that still need our attention. We’ll need to keep in mind that there are no quick fixes, that healing isn’t linear, and some of our problems and issues will feel more magnified. Let us approach this process understanding that the path to wholeness unfolds in its own time and with unwavering self- compassion.

Shortly after the Full Moon arrives, Venus, the goddess of love and beauty, stations direct next to Saturn in Pisces, ending the retrograde journey that began on March 1st in Aries. With Saturn’s presence We may feel the weight of old patterns, the subtle blockages that hinder our ability to articulate our needs. Having journeyed through the underworld for forty days, Venus rises with newfound wisdom, revealing the true essence of our values and connections. Some may have glimpsed the shadows of self abandonment and codependency, while others have learned the delicate art of respecting boundaries and honoring the desires of those we love without usurping power in relationships. Life is a series of negotiations and right now we are being invited to restore equilibrium, to bathe in beauty’s embrace, and to awaken the muse within.

Take a moment and reflect on the last six weeks. What dynamics and patterns surfaced? What changes do you need to make? Did anything get resolved? What did you learn about yourself? What felt out of balance? What did you learn about the things you value most?

Mars, the planet of assertion and our will, is making a challenging aspect under this Full Moon, and it could certainly stir up some volatile emotions, but if channeled correctly, it can spark the flame that can help us move forward. In a few days, on April 17th, Mars will head back to Leo. With Mars moving forward and gaining more speed, we will have more access to express our passions and desires.
