The fool teaches us about beginnings, taking risks, spontaneity and play. The fool’s gift and her curse, is her naivete. She has no clue where she’s going or what will unfold. She sets out with only what she needs in hand and moves towards wherever or whatever calls her. She relies on her instincts to find her way. She prides herself in trying new things without any expectation from them. She does not need to be good at them or even like them. She gravitates towards new experiences clumsily and joyfully.

The Saboteur acts as a blocking force within the psyche and has many many clever tactics for achieving its goal of keeping things exactly as they already are by preventing any kind of change or progress. It convinces us that we don’t deserve our dreams and longings and talks us out of the effort and actions which support the attainment of those dreams and goals.
